It’s really important to use the correct fixings when your fitting blinds or curtain poles.
Not only do you need to allow for the weight of the blinds or curtains themselves, but also the fabric of the wall they’re being attached to. You also need to allow for the amount of force that’ll be placed on the fixings when the blinds or curtains are drawn.
Manufacturers will rarely provide fixings for all types of wall fabric. Our experts will make sure the correct raw plugs and screws are used. Remember child safety when fitting blinds
The cords of blinds should never be left hanging. They represent a hazard to young children. You should always fix a cleat on the wall next to your blinds to keep the cord secure.
The cleat for each blind should be fixed to the wall a minimum of 150cm from the floor.
If you don’t like the rather cheap, acrylic cleats that some online manufacturers provide with their blinds, you should consider buying better quality ones from a local or online DIY/hardware shop.
