Cockroach control and treatments
Just about any property is vulnerable to cockroaches, no matter how clean. Cockroaches have been around for a very long time and are known for their ability to adapt and survive. They are considered pests and if you see just one, there’s a good chance you have more hidden away somewhere.
If you’re seeing cockroaches, it’s important to call in an Bestcare Pest Control Technician who will work with you to find a solution. Your Technician will find the source of the infestation, eliminate it, and offer prevention methods to stop the pests from returning.
Control cockroaches: the Bestcare Pest Control way
Bestcare Pest Control Technicians will provide you with peace of mind when you are experiencing a cockroach infestation. Our certified Technicians are located across the eastern United States and can provide you with safe, reliable cockroach control when you need it most. With access to the latest technology and knowledge, you can rely on Bestcare Pest Control Technicians to find effective solutions for your cockroach infestation.
We offer different treatment options dependent upon several factors to control your cockroach problem. Selecting the most effective treatment method to completely eliminate the cockroaches depends on the following:
Size of the infestation
Property type (commercial or residential)
Our cockroach treatment process
Bestcare Pest Control’s cockroach services include an inspection, insecticide application, and insect monitor placement. Your Technician will physically remove any cockroaches found indoors and place pest monitoring glue traps. Treatment will be made to the exterior where cockroaches are harboring and/or entering, and a non-repellent liquid residual insecticide will be applied to the areas where cockroaches hide or are likely to crawl. Any potential cockroach entry points in your home may be sealed with a silicone sealant, copper mesh, or expandable foam.
German cockroach treatment
To control German cockroaches, your Technician will use an aerosol insecticide as a flushing agent in cracks and crevices. Insect monitors will be used and checked for cockroach activity, and any cockroaches found will be removed with a vacuum. Cockroach bait will be applied in cracks and crevices, corners, and small recesses where cockroaches would be most likely to come into contact with the bait. Once controlled, your Technician will provide you with future preventive measures.
Large cockroach treatment
To control large cockroaches (American, oriental, and smoky brown cockroaches), your Technician will begin with a property inspection. They may place pest monitoring glue traps in areas where large cockroaches commonly enter your home and where large cockroaches are often found, such as basement utility rooms. Cockroach bait will be strategically placed in any cracks or crevices and in areas where the cockroaches hide. Cockroach bait will also be used on the exterior of the home where cockroaches are found. The full treatment method will depend on the individual location and infestation.
Why do I need cockroach control?
Cockroaches have been shown to carry disease-causing microorganisms on their bodies. Microbes found on cockroach bodies include several types of bacteria, worms, fungi, and viruses. While cockroaches have never been linked to the direct transmission of any disease, they can contaminate clean surfaces with these disease-causing microbes. Cockroaches can bring about the following illnesses:
Food poisoning is caused when cockroaches eat rotten food and crawl around unsanitary places, tracking germs across the food on your counter and in your cabinets.
Dysentery comes from cockroaches walking across fecal matter and then bringing it onto your food.
Tapeworms and roundworms can be transmitted to humans through cockroaches. A cockroach’s feeding and nesting habits enable it to easily ingest and carry a wide range of pathogenic microorganisms and parasites on its body. When this pest walks across your kitchen counters, it can contaminate food and surfaces, spreading parasitic worms to you.
Cockroaches can leave behind fungus from their droppings, skin shedding, and other material that will affect the lungs or eyes.
Cockroaches are known to carry several viruses.
Cockroach droppings, skins, and saliva are one of the leading causes of allergies for those who live in urban locations and they are the leading cause of asthma for urban children.
Cockroach control for your commercial property is just as important. In addition to all the health issues listed above, cockroaches in your place of business can ruin your reputation, and they are notoriously considered a sign of an unclean space.
